Pastors rarely, if ever, get time-off during the Lenten season. I, however, will not be preaching for the next three Sundays. This week we have a special speaker from the school that leases a part of our building, followed by a luncheon with the staff at noon. Next weekend I will be away and attending the ThinSpace St. Patrick’s Day gathering in Cincinnati. Finally, on March 25th, our Choir will be presenting its Easter Cantata.
So while I will not be adding many posts here concerning the upcoming Sundays, never fear, I will be working ahead in an attempt to be better prepared for Holy Week than I have ever been before. Further, I hope to use this down time, so to speak, as a way to get myself working a week ahead of the lectionary. In this way, resources will be published on my blog the week before they can be used, rather than the week of their use.
It is my hope as well that before I leave for ThinSpace, I will be able to post some material for Holy Week.
